Thanksgiving-themed cupcakes are a fun treat to gobble up after the big meal. Your kids will love to be involved in the decorating—and the eating.
Frost chocolate cupcakes with store-bought icing. Before the icing sets, dip the top of each cupcake in coconut.
Kids: (giggle)
Cut an oval shortbread cookie in half, creating two wings, and press each one into the cupcake.
Kid: Like this, Mom? Mom: Yes, that's perfect.
To make the eyes, put a small dot of white icing on the third cookie. Then, add a dot of black gel for the pupil. For the beak, cut the white tip from a piece of candy corn and press it in place using icing as glue. Now, press the turkey head into the cupcake.
Next, press in two rows of candy corn to make the colorful tail feathers. Repeat with the remaining cupcakes.
