Mirror Painting
Mirror Painting
Be ready for your next close-up! Decorate a handheld mirror for your room or to carry in your purse.
What you'll need:
Handheld mirrors (you’ll find them in packages at craft stores)
Glass paint outliners
Nontoxic, water-based glass stain
Paintbrushes
Bounty® paper towels for spills and cleanup
Directions:
If the mirror you’ve chosen has a border pattern already on it, use your outliner like a pen to follow the pattern. Apply gentle pressure on the outliner to squeeze a steady stream of paint onto the glass. Blot any spills with the paper towels as you go along. If your mirror has no border pattern, use your outliner to create a decorative border of your own.
Let your outline dry completely. Once it is hard, use a paintbrush to fill in color inside your border pattern. Work with one color at a time, using a dry brush. Before moving on to the next color, wash and dry your brush thoroughly.
Clean up with soap, water, and paper towels.
Let your mirror dry overnight.
